At our volleyball academy, we take the safety and well-being of our clients seriously. We expect all clients to follow our rules and guidelines to ensure a safe and positive environment for all.
Failure to adhere to the above code of conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of training services.
By completing registration, you acknowledge that you have read and fully understand contents, and agree to follow all rules and guidelines set by the academy.
By using our volleyball academy facilities, you acknowledge that the sport of volleyball carries inherent risks of injury. You understand that our academy takes every reasonable precaution to ensure the safety of our clients, but that accidents can still occur despite our best efforts.
In consideration of your use of our facilities and participation in our programs, you agree to waive and release any and all claims for personal injury, property damage, or other loss that may arise from your use of our facilities or participation in our programs or events. You agree to hold our volleyball academy, its directors, coaches, and staff harmless from any and all claims, suits, or actions arising from your use of our facilities or participation in our programs or events.
You further confirm that you have adequate and relevant insurance coverage for your use of our facilities and participation in our programs, and agree to provide proof of such insurance upon request. You understand that it is your responsibility to ensure that you are covered by adequate insurance at all times while using our facilities and participating in our programs.
By completing registration, you acknowledge that you have read and fully understand contents, and that you are agreeing to release our volleyball academy from any and all liability for injury or loss that may occur while using our facilities or participating in our programs or events.
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the RIO Volleyball Academy website (riovolley.com), which is owned and operated by RIO Academy Sports Services.
RIO Academy Sports Services reserves the right to amend, modify, or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes shall take effect immediately upon publication on the website. Users are encouraged to review these Terms and Conditions periodically to remain informed of any updates.
RIO Academy Sports Services reserves the right to modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the website, its content, or its services at any time without prior notice or liability.
Registration for any RIO Volleyball Academy programme confirms that the parent or guardian, on behalf of the participant, has read, understood, and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, together with the Academy's Privacy Policy and all applicable laws and regulations.
Programme places are secured only once registration is completed and payment or an approved instalment plan is confirmed. RIO Volleyball Academy reserves the right to refuse or cancel registrations where necessary to maintain programme quality, safety, or appropriate group levels.
Programme fees must be paid in full before the programme begins unless an instalment plan has been agreed in advance.
RIO Volleyball Academy may offer instalment payment options for certain programmes. Instalments are provided as a payment convenience only and do not represent a pay-as-you-go arrangement.
By selecting an instalment plan, parents/guardians agree that the full programme fee remains payable once the participant is registered and begins the programme.
Membership fees may be paid via the academy's credit card payment link or through online bank transfer with the player’s name in the reference.
Memberships are valid for specific duration and can be renewed upon expiration, subject to availability.
Once payment has been received, membership cancellation or refund requests will no longer be accepted.
If instalment payments are not received by the agreed due date:
Failure to attend sessions does not cancel the financial obligation for programme fees.
Programme fees are non-refundable once a participant has secured a place in a programme. RIO Volleyball Academy plans programmes, coaching schedules, staffing and facility bookings in advance. For this reason, refunds cannot generally be issued once registration has been confirmed.
Membership fees are non-transferable to the next term except in cases where academy operations are affected by force majeure or other circumstances beyond the academy's control.
The Academy shall not be liable for any delay in performing or failure to perform any obligation (including any alteration or cancellation) due to any cause beyond its reasonable control, including lock-outs, strikes, shortages of personnel, labour disputes, war, riot, the act of God, civil commotion, terrorism, malicious damage, threats to safety, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, accident, environmental contamination, a pandemic outbreak of disease, breakdown of equipment, fire, flood, difficulty or increased expense in materials, goods or equipment in connection with the performance of this agreement. No refund will be made, except at the Academy's discretion. The Academy reserves the right to refund a maximum of 30% of the remaining balance within 30 working days.
Membership fees are non-refundable for sessions missed due to school trips, examinations, family holidays, parents' work commitments, parental emergency leave, sickness or injury without a valid medical certificate, or any other personal reasons.
Tournament and league registration fees are non-transferable and non-refundable, including in cases of non-attendance.
All make-up sessions must be completed within the same term.
Participants may request a maximum of three (3) make-up sessions per programme term. A make-up session will be offered only to the members in case of illness or injury upon provision of a doctor’s note.
Members with an outstanding balance are not eligible to book or attend make-up sessions.
Make-up sessions are provided subject to availability and shall not be considered as having any monetary or refundable value.
Make-up sessions shall be requested and scheduled two weeks prior to the intended make-up session.
Members who fail to attend their scheduled make-up session will not be eligible for any refund, rescheduling, or additional credit.
Make-up sessions are not available during Holiday Camps.
Sessions missed during Holiday Camps cannot be transferred to the regular training season.
The Academy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule training sessions when necessary. In the event of a cancellation due to circumstances beyond the Academy's control, including but not limited to adverse weather, pandemics, war, venue unavailability, or school events, a make-up session will be arranged.
Any exceptional circumstances or special requests will be reviewed by the management on a case-by-case basis, and approval shall be at the sole discretion of the academy.
If a participant wishes to withdraw from a programme after registration, programme fees remain non-refundable.
However, a withdrawing participant may arrange a replacement participant to take their place in the programme.
If a replacement participant is found by the withdrawing parent/guardian and is approved by the Academy:
Once payment from the replacement participant has been received, the withdrawing participant may receive up to 70% of the amount paid by the replacement participant for the remaining programme period.
The remaining 30% will be retained by the Academy for administrative and operational costs.
RIO Volleyball Academy does not guarantee acceptance of replacement participants.
If a participant is unable to attend training due to illness or injury, the Academy may offer account credit for missed sessions if an official doctor's note or medical certificate is provided.
Credits may be applied to future programmes at the Academy's discretion.
Refunds are not issued for illness or injury.
Regular attendance is important for player development and team progression.
Missed sessions due to personal commitments, travel, or scheduling conflicts are not eligible for refunds or credits unless otherwise stated in these Terms & Conditions.
RIO Volleyball Academy communicates programme updates, announcements and schedules through official channels including email and WhatsApp parent groups.
Parents/guardians are responsible for requesting to be added to the relevant session WhatsApp group after registration to ensure they receive all announcements.
The Academy is not responsible for missed information if parents have not joined the official communication channels.
Parents/guardians are responsible for keeping their contact information accurate and up to date.
Parents/guardians acknowledge that the Academy may take any photographs and videos during training sessions, matches, camps, and events.

If a parent/guardian does not consent to their child appearing in photos or videos, they must:

All participants are expected to behave respectfully toward coaches, staff, teammates and facilities.
RIO Volleyball Academy reserves the right to remove a participant from sessions or programmes if behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful.
In such cases programme fees remain non-refundable.
The Academy is committed to ensuring the continuity of classes according to the schedule.
RIO Volleyball Academy reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to training schedules, venues, coaching staff or programme structure where necessary.
The Academy is not obliged to give any refund for the changes listed above. The academy will not be held liable or be required to pay compensation for any loss incurred as a result of, or in any way arising from the mentioned adjustment.
The Academy reserves the right to make any corrections to fees quoted due to clerical errors of omission upon notice to members.
Participation in sports activities involves inherent physical risks. By enrolling their child in RIO Volleyball Academy programs, parents/guardians acknowledge and accept full responsibility for ensuring that their child is physically fit and has appropriate insurance coverage for any injuries or accidents that may occur during training sessions, games, or any other activities related to the Academy.
In the event of a medical emergency during Academy activities, every reasonable effort will be made to contact the parent or legal guardian immediately. If they cannot be reached, the parent or legal guardian authorizes RIO Volleyball Academy to arrange any necessary emergency medical treatment for the participant, as deemed appropriate by qualified medical personnel.
RIO Volleyball Academy, its staff, coaches, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any claims, damages, injuries, or expenses that may arise from participation in these activities. Parents/guardians agree to indemnify and hold harmless RIO Volleyball Academy from any and all claims, actions, or liabilities that may result from their child's participation in the Academy's programs.
By registering for any programme with RIO Volleyball Academy, parents or guardians confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

This Waiver and Release of Liability (“Agreement”) is entered into by the undersigned parent/legal guardian (“Participant Representative”) on behalf of the participating child (“Participant”) in connection with attendance at training sessions organized by RIO Academy (“RIO”).
The Participant Representative acknowledges that RIO Academy has suspended its regular operations due to regional safety concerns and the closure of schools. At the request of certain parents, alternative training sessions are being at a privately arranged venue that is not formally contracted, managed, or controlled by RIO.
The Participant Representative understands and agrees that:
The Participant Representative voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in these sessions, including but not limited to:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Participant Representative hereby releases, waives, and discharges:
from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to participation in these sessions, including those caused by negligence.
The Participant Representative agrees that neither RIO Academy nor the venue provider shall be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during or as a result of participation.
The Participant Representative confirms that participation is entirely voluntary and undertaken at their own risk.
The Participant Representative agrees to indemnify and hold harmless RIO Academy and the venue provider from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from participation.
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction.
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
By signing below, the Participant Representative confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to this Waiver and Release of Liability.
