Membership Terms:

Membership Fees: Membership fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable. Clients must pay their fees on time to maintain their membership status.
Membership Duration: Memberships are valid for a specified duration as stated in the membership agreement. Memberships may be renewed upon expiration, subject to availability.
Cancellation Policy: Clients may cancel their membership by providing written notice to the academy. However, no refunds will be provided for any remaining membership period.
Use of Facilities: Members have access to the academy's facilities during designated hours, subject to availability. Members must adhere to all academy rules and guidelines for facility use.
Safety Protocols: Members must follow all safety protocols set by the academy, including wearing appropriate attire and using equipment properly.
Coaching Sessions: Members may participate in coaching sessions according to their membership level and availability.
Code of Conduct: Members must follow the academy's code of conduct at all times.
Insurance: Members are responsible for their own personal injury or property damage insurance.
Changes to Membership Terms: The academy may change membership terms and conditions at any time, with reasonable notice provided to members.
Termination of Membership: The academy may terminate a membership for breach of membership terms, inappropriate behavior, or failure to comply with the academy's rules and guidelines.

By completing registration, you acknowledge that you have read and fully understand its contents, and agree to follow all membership terms and conditions set by the academy.

Client Code of Conduct:

At our volleyball academy, we take the safety and well-being of our clients seriously. We expect all clients to follow our rules and guidelines to ensure a safe and positive environment for all.

Respect the coaches, staff, and other clients. Treat everyone with kindness, fairness, and respect.
Follow all rules and guidelines set by the academy. This includes following safety protocols, wearing appropriate attire, and using equipment properly.
Attend sessions on time and ready to participate. If you are unable to attend a session, please inform the academy as soon as possible.
Avoid using profanity, engaging in inappropriate behavior, or disrupting the training sessions in any way.
Keep the facilities clean and tidy. Dispose of trash properly and leave the facilities in the same condition as you found them.
Maintain proper hygiene. This includes wearing clean and appropriate attire, using deodorant, and washing hands before and after sessions.

Failure to adhere to the above code of conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of training services.

By completing registration, you acknowledge that you have read and fully understand contents, and agree to follow all rules and guidelines set by the academy.

Indemnity Waiver:

By using our volleyball academy facilities, you acknowledge that the sport of volleyball carries inherent risks of injury. You understand that our academy takes every reasonable precaution to ensure the safety of our clients, but that accidents can still occur despite our best efforts.

In consideration of your use of our facilities and participation in our programs, you agree to waive and release any and all claims for personal injury, property damage, or other loss that may arise from your use of our facilities or participation in our programs or events. You agree to hold our volleyball academy, its directors, coaches, and staff harmless from any and all claims, suits, or actions arising from your use of our facilities or participation in our programs or events.

You further confirm that you have adequate and relevant insurance coverage for your use of our facilities and participation in our programs, and agree to provide proof of such insurance upon request. You understand that it is your responsibility to ensure that you are covered by adequate insurance at all times while using our facilities and participating in our programs.

By completing registration, you acknowledge that you have read and fully understand contents, and that you are agreeing to release our volleyball academy from any and all liability for injury or loss that may occur while using our facilities or participating in our programs or events.

1. Registration

Registration for any RIO Volleyball Academy programme confirms that the parent/guardian and participant agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Programme places are secured only once registration is completed and payment or an approved instalment plan is confirmed.

RIO Volleyball Academy reserves the right to refuse or cancel registrations where necessary to maintain programme quality, safety, or appropriate group levels.

2. Programme Fees & Payments

Programme fees must be paid in full before the programme begins unless an instalment plan has been agreed in advance.

RIO Volleyball Academy may offer instalment payment options for certain programmes. Instalments are provided as a payment convenience only and do not represent a pay-as-you-go arrangement.

By selecting an instalment plan, parents/guardians agree that the full programme fee remains payable once the participant is registered and begins the programme.

Failure to complete instalment payments does not cancel the obligation to pay the remaining balance.

RIO Volleyball Academy reserves the right to suspend participation until outstanding payments are settled.

Participants with unpaid balances may not be permitted to join training sessions, matches, tournaments, camps, or future academy programmes until payments are completed.

3. Late or Missed Payments

If instalment payments are not received by the agreed due date:

Participation may be suspended until payment is received.
Outstanding balances remain payable regardless of attendance.
The Academy reserves the right to deny future registrations until all outstanding balances are cleared.
The Academy reserves the right to refuse any future requests for an instalment payment plan

Failure to attend sessions does not cancel the financial obligation for programme fees.

4. Refund Policy

Programme fees are non-refundable once a participant has secured a place in a programme.

RIO Volleyball Academy plans programmes, coaching schedules, staffing and facility bookings in advance. For this reason, refunds cannot generally be issued once registration has been confirmed.

5. Withdrawal and Replacement Option

If a participant wishes to withdraw from a programme after registration, programme fees remain non-refundable.

However, a withdrawing participant may arrange a replacement participant to take their place in the programme.

If a replacement participant is found by the withdrawing parent/guardian and is approved by the Academy:

The replacement must be suitable for the programme level
The replacement must complete registration and payment

Once payment from the replacement participant has been received, the withdrawing participant may receive up to 80% of the amount paid by the replacement participant for the remaining programme period.

The remaining 20% will be retained by the Academy for administrative and operational costs.

RIO Volleyball Academy does not guarantee acceptance of replacement participants.

6. Illness or Injury

If a participant is unable to attend training due to illness or injury, the Academy may offer account credit for missed sessions if an official doctor’s note or medical certificate is provided.

Credits may be applied to future programmes at the Academy’s discretion.

Refunds are not issued for illness or injury.

7. Make-Up Classes

Participants may request up to three (3) make-up sessions per programme term.

Make-up sessions must be:

requested in advance
booked at least two weeks prior to the intended make-up session
scheduled based on availability in suitable training groups

Make-up sessions cannot be guaranteed and do not carry financial value.

8. Attendance

Regular attendance is important for player development and team progression.

Missed sessions due to personal commitments, travel, or scheduling conflicts are not eligible for refunds or credits unless otherwise stated in these Terms & Conditions.

9. Communication

RIO Volleyball Academy communicates programme updates, announcements and schedules through official channels including email and WhatsApp parent groups.

Parents/guardians are responsible for requesting to be added to the relevant session WhatsApp group after registration to ensure they receive all announcements.

The Academy is not responsible for missed information if parents have not joined the official communication channels.

Parents/guardians are responsible for keeping their contact information accurate and up to date.

10. Media Consent

RIO Volleyball Academy may take photographs and videos during training sessions, matches, camps, and events.

These materials may be used for:

academy promotion
social media
website content
marketing materials

If a parent/guardian does not consent to their child appearing in photos or videos, they must:

Indicate this during registration by selecting the relevant option
Send a written request by email to

Email confirmation will be treated as the official record of the request.

11. Participant Conduct

All participants are expected to behave respectfully toward coaches, staff, teammates and facilities.

RIO Volleyball Academy reserves the right to remove a participant from sessions or programmes if behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful.

In such cases programme fees remain non-refundable.

12. Programme Changes

RIO Volleyball Academy reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to training schedules, venues, coaching staff or programme structure where necessary.

13. Liability

Participation in sports activities involves inherent physical risks.

By registering for the programme, parents/guardians acknowledge these risks and confirm that the participant is physically fit to take part in volleyball training activities.

RIO Volleyball Academy will take reasonable precautions to ensure safety but cannot be held liable for injuries occurring during normal participation in training or related activities.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for any programme with RIO Volleyball Academy, parents/guardians confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

This Waiver and Release of Liability (“Agreement”) is entered into by the undersigned parent/legal guardian (“Participant Representative”) on behalf of the participating child (“Participant”) in connection with attendance at training sessions organized by RIO Academy (“RIO”).

1. Acknowledgment of Situation

The Participant Representative acknowledges that RIO Academy has suspended its regular operations due to regional safety concerns and the closure of schools. At the request of certain parents, alternative training sessions are being at a privately arranged venue that is not formally contracted, managed, or controlled by RIO.

2. No Formal Venue Management or Safety Guarantees

The Participant Representative understands and agrees that:

The venue is not operated, leased, or officially managed by RIO.
There is no venue management company responsible for safety protocols, supervision, or compliance.
Safety measures may be limited or not aligned with standard operational procedures.

3. Assumption of Risk

The Participant Representative voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in these sessions, including but not limited to:

Personal injury, illness, or accidents
Property loss or damage
Risks arising from the condition or management of the venue
Any risks related to the broader regional safety situation

4. Waiver and Release

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Participant Representative hereby releases, waives, and discharges:

RIO Academy, its directors, coaches, staff, and representatives
The venue provider, property owner, and any associated individuals

from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to participation in these sessions, including those caused by negligence.

5. No Liability

The Participant Representative agrees that neither RIO Academy nor the venue provider shall be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during or as a result of participation.

6. Voluntary Participation

The Participant Representative confirms that participation is entirely voluntary and undertaken at their own risk.

7. Indemnification

The Participant Representative agrees to indemnify and hold harmless RIO Academy and the venue provider from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from participation.

8. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction.

9. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

10. Acknowledgment and Signature

By signing below, the Participant Representative confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to this Waiver and Release of Liability.
