Regulations of the Volleyball PE Teachers and Stuff League

1. Organizer of the competition:
   • RIO Volleyball Academy Dubai (https://riovolley.com).
2. Venue and schedule of the games:
   • The schedule of matches and the tournament system will be determined in the near future and will depend on the number of teams entered.
   • The organizer reserves the right to change the agreed schedule.
   • If there are any sudden changes in the timing of the matches, the team captains will be informed.
3. Organizational arrangements:
   • The organizer will be fully responsible for the following preparations for the competition:
     • Providing the volleyball courts for all the matches.
     • Providing balls and equipment for all the matches.
     • Providing referees and staff.
   • Items left within the court and building are not the organizer's responsibility.
   • The organizer reserves the right to address and decide any disputed matters.
   • Scores and match updates for the league will be uploaded on the league's website.
4. Entry rules:
   • Registration for the teams is only until October 25, 2022.
   • Entry fee is 3,000 AED + 5% VAT per team.
   • Deadline for the payment of the entry fee will be October 31, 2022.
   • The organizer of the league does not bear legal and civil liability in the scope of damage to the health and property of the players taking part in the competition.
   • The maximum number of teams is 8.
5. Duties of teams and players:
   • The minimum number of players in the team is 6. It is not possible to play with fewer players on the court.
   • A player can only play for one team.
   • Team members can be a mix of women's and men's.
   • Players must be PE teachers and / or school staff.
   • A team must have a team manager (captain) who is its representative in organizational matters.
6. Game rules:
   • Matches will be played up to 2 winning sets (21 points). In the case of a result of 1:1 set, the decisive one will be played up to 15 points.
   • The height of the net is set at 2.35 meters.
   • Each team is entitled to one time-out in each set.
   • If a minimum of five players from the team do not attend the match, they receive a walkover.
   • During the competition, the "fair-play" principle applies.
7. Points system:
   • 2-0 win game – the team scores 3 points.
   • 2-1 win game – the team scores 2 points.
   • 1-2 loss game – the team scores 1 point.
   • 0-2 loss game – the team scores 0 points.
   • walkover – the team scores 0 points.
