Abu Dhabi Volleyball League Rules & Format
- Mixed teams with min 2 female players on the court.
- Round Robin Format – all teams play with every other team in the 1st Round. Top four teams proceed to semi-finals, the other teams play for their respective final place in the league.
- Full format games best of five sets. Cap at 30.
- FIVB rules apply
- Only team captains allowed to talk to referees.
- No arguments allowed with the opposite team or league staff.
- The fixed schedule for the whole league is issued before the 1st match.
- Warm up starts at 18.45. The first serve at 19.10. Teams not ready to start the game at 19.10 will forfeit the 1st set.
- The results updated regularly on the website.
- Points: 3 points for 3:0 win, 3 points for 3:1 win, 2 and 1 points for 3:2 win. If Total Points (TP) equal, number of Sets Won (SW) and total Set Points (SP) taken into account accordingly.
- All teams to wear uniform.
- Additional players can join current teams during the league.
- Prizes: Medals and Rotating Champions Trophy
